ML4H is an “unconference” style meeting May 28-29, 2019 to facilitate junior ML researchers and doctors connecting on their research interests, and possibly starting collaborations. Many projects in ML4H suffer from a mismatch in data, tools, and skills.
Our focus this year will be on What Problems Should ML4H Be Solving? Conference sessions will emphasize defining important problems for the field, forming collaborations, and enabling junior researchers to start new lines of work. The event will include a matching component, clinician and research led workshops, and an industrial track that connects start-ups to a panel of machine learning and clinical experts.
As with other unconferences, we hope to encourage discussion cutting-edge technical methods and clinical opportunities, as well as foster interaction between researchers and clinicians.
